She is a three time Governor’s Teacher of the Year Recipient, a Mercer County Teacher of the Year, as well as a recipient of the “East Windsor/Hightstown Mayors’ Shining Star Award” for her contributions to the community. She has been an Association Representative, Membership Chairperson, Negotiations Team member, and Vice President for EWEA. She chairs the UNISERV Committee for NJEA. She has served as the EWEA President for the last thirteen years. Ellen is proud to represent the over 525 members of the East Windsor Education Association using her “ferocious mama bear” approach. She also believes communication is the key…emails, Facebook, this webpage, and most importantly, 1:1 connections and conversations. She is ALWAYS available. She is confident that the more members know about their Association the more they will want to get involved.
1st Vice President: Chris Carpenter – Chris has been a teacher at the Melvin H. Kreps School for eighteen years. He has served on the Negotiations Committee and has also been an Association Rep.
